Nokia unveils the Lumia Icon

The Nokia Lumia Icon shares a number of specifications with its high-end smartphone theNokia Lumia 1520, but in a smaller size.
Both come with a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 20 megapixel PureView rear camera, a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, Gorilla Glass 3, Qi wireless charging, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
The only major differences between the two smartphones are their screens and batteries.
While the Lumia 1520 comes with a six-inch LED screen, the new Icon comes with a five-inch 1080p ClearBlack screen – the first in a Windows Phone 8 device. The battery is also smaller at 2,420mAh.
However, for the time being, the phone will only be available in the US on Verizon. It goes on sale in the US on February 20th and will sell for £330 according toNokia Conversations.
It will be available in both black and white.
We’ll keep our ears to the ground to see if the Lumia Icon is going to be UK-bound. Perhaps the best chance of us finding out will be Mobile World Congress, which starts on February 24th.
