Amazon set to expand its Appstore to nearly 200 countries

Unless you own a kindle fire tablet, its highly unlikely that you might have ever seen Amazon's own Android Appstore. The company is expanding to new countries and devices later this year.

Currently its only available in US, certain European countries and Japan but they recently announced that developers can start submitting their apps for distribution in new countries which will include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, India, South Africa and South Korea. But the activation of this service will still take some months.

Except this Amazon will also make available its store in the new countries as it currently does not sell any kindle fire products in these countries. Amazon will compete with Google's service by selling its apps outside of the Google Play.

its a nice move by Amazon as it wants to expand its service outside its range of tablets. Personally, I am waiting for the app store as it will expand the options for android users.
