Microsoft working on small touch devices

Microsoft CFO recently revealed that Microsoft is working with OEM to produce a new series of small touch devices powered by windows. These devices have long been rumored. Rumors were that Microsoft was preparing 7 and 8-inches Windows devices, which have recently been confirmed.

A 7-inch Surface is planned to release as a part of this new series of Microsoft tablets which means that thew are not just working on small devices. They recently revised the specifications for windows 8 to allow OEMs to create tablets with windows 8 which have minimum resolution of about 1024 x 768. Microsoft is also expected to release windows 8.1 to improve the support for windows 8 style apps.

Microsoft said that these windows powered devices will be made available in the coming months. Along with this Microsoft are also working on and testing prototypes of smart watch with just a 1.5 inch screen.
