Chinese firm open its own iOS apps store!!!

All of those iPhone, iPad, iPad mini or iPod touch users must have always wanted to have access to thousands of wonderful apps available on iOS store without even paying a dime. Well, some might say sure they can but they need to have their Apple device jailbroken. Jailbreaking is what is required to have access to those pirated iOS apps. But maybe not anymore!!! Atleast for Chinese users.

The Chinese website, 7659.com, has taken advantage of a loophole in Apple's bulk enterprise licensing allowing users to download paid applications for free without even jailbreaking their devices.

Apple's bulk enterprise license once obtained allows companies to sign apps, then send those apps to their own employees without having to deal with the official App Store. This can be used, for instance, for app development purposes. What Kuaiyong, the company behind 7659, appears to be doing is obtaining apps in whatever way (either a cracked or purchased version, which is unclear), then signing them with the enterprise license signature. Rather than distributing the apps solely to employees, the signed apps are made available on 7659 for anyone to download.

For now, the service is inaccessible to users outside of China. Several popular paid apps are already being downloaded at no charge but Kuaiyong has cautioned users not to use Apple ID or [Apple's] App store or it would increase the chances of Apple shutting down their access to programs.

KuaiYong has branded its website as a helper tool for Chinese user's unfamiliar with Apple's app store.

Here's what the hackers behind the site has to say:

"First of all, we would like to thank all Apple users around the world and your support for Kuaiyong.

Statistics have shown that a significant amount of Apple users are Chinese based. However, the fact is that in China, a large number of Apple users are not very familiar with the iTunes system and how to effectively manage it.

In order for Chinese Apple fans to download applications securely, Kuaiyong developed its own method of giving users access to thousands of free apps without having to jailbreak their devices. Kuaiyong offers detailed descriptions of apps, free app download trial, IOS device management and visual and audio file backup system. IOS system backup and recovery features will also be released in the very near future.

Our goal has always been about bringing Chinese Apple users with quick, convenient and pleasant IOS experience. Since the introduce of Kuaiyong, the proportion of jailbreak in China has declined dramatically from 60% to around 30%. Kuaiyong will hold on to this goal in the future and we would like to see more support for Apple as well as Kuaiyong."

Apple has made no official comment on this.
