Google has released a new app which is based on its non profitable are, Google.org. The app is currently only available for Android users and is called One Today. Google has released this app with good intentions, Its aim is to get people to donate $1 to different organizations and you will get the complete information about how your donation will be used.
The main aim of this app is to change the mindset of the people who think that their money wont actually be spent on making a difference.
Additionally it has a social component which lets you set a cap to how much money you will match if your friends donate for a cause. Once your friends have used up your cap you can simply pay off your donation balance by using Google wallet. It is a pretty interesting way of gathering donations for a cause.
You can request an invite on the landing page although the app is available for download on the play store. When you open the app you will again see the invite page and there is no word yet as to when the app will be open for donations.
